William Schallert, born July 6, 1922 in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor who plays the role of Bon Temps, Louisiana Mayor Sterling Norris on the HBO original series True Blood. Making his debut on the episode "Sparks Fly Out" in the series' first season, William is a recurring guest starring actor in the series' first and fourth seasons. He was last seen on the Season 4 episode "She's Not There".
