"A DROP OF TRUE BLOOD" MINISODES--CANON OR NOT?

I just got a copy of the DVD "A DROP OF TRUE BLOOD", with the 6 "Minisodes" set between seasons 2 & 3, yet except for a few Blog posts, I see no actual reference to them here. Are the Minisodes considered part of the TRUE BLOOD "canon" or are they just stand alone bits? I would welcome opinions or documented comments from official sources defining their inclusion in the overall storylines. Thanks all!
