Officer Trap is a guard who serves Bill Compton, the Vampire King of Louisiana, on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American actor, and uncredited extra, Poncho Hodges, Officer Trap makes his debut on the episode "You Smell Like Dinner" in the series' fourth season. Playing a recurring role through the series' fourth and fifth seasons, Poncho was replaced by American co-starring actor Chris Jai Alex, who plays the role of Officer Trap in the Season 5 episode "In the Beginning".

Bucky Featherstone and Trap stop Sookie on Bill's land and questions who she is. Bill radios to say that she should be allowed in. ("You Smell Like Dinner")

He guards Bill's mansion when Bill's safety is threatened by the witch Antonia Gavilán de Logroño casting a spell that will force him to meet the sun. He tries (unsuccessfully) to prevent Jason Stackhouse from entering the mansion in the day time. ("Cold Grey Light of Dawn")
