Ted Welch, born August 6, 1979 in Hendersonville, Tennessee, is an American actor who plays the role of Joe Bob on the HBO original series True Blood. Making his debut on the episode "Hopeless", in the series fifth season, Ted plays the role of a member of The Obamas. Playing a recurring role through the same season, Ted was a guest starring actor who was last seen in the Season 5 episode "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".
