Becoming a Witch

Is it possible for a witch to be born a witch meaning they have the power since birth or do all witches have to harness supernatural forces and everything? Andrewh7 (talk) 04:21, May 31, 2014 (UTC) Andrewh7

For the former: absolutely! Many witches come from mothers possessing the same powers and passing them on to their offspring. For the latter: Some witches must... unleash their powers. Some must unlock an unused part of their mind while others harness supernatural forces, making their power stronger. Either way, becoming a witch is usually simply a matter of choice. Overcoming a spiritual boundary is a personal decision that can only be obtained by ones' desire to partake in the art of witchcraft. - Adamantoise (talk) 01:54, October 25, 2014 (UTC)

Attributed Powers

Where does it say that witches have all of these other powers like Astral Projection, Mind Control, and Shape-shifting?

These actions are witnessed through both various scenes within the film and through the books. Plus they are abilities that are naturally understood to be attributed to someone that partakes in the art of witchcraft. - Adamantoise (talk) 01:54, October 25, 2014 (UTC)
