Sookie is caught in the middle of the attack of the infected vampires and was about to be attacked by a few vampires until an whistle is heard and the infected vampires flee, leaving Sookie and her friends upset by the death of Tara. While inside Bellefleur's Bar and Grill, Sookie hears the panic and devastation of everyone's mind , who point to her as the main culprit for the whole attack to happen, because she is the one who messes with the vampires the most, begin to mentally think about the hatred they have for her calling her "vampire whore" and demanding her to leave the place now, including Alcide's mind claiming "how she could ever love a dead man", this angers Sookie and she walks home while she continues to hear the negative thoughts everyone has about her. While walking home, Sookie gets a phone call from Alcide, which infuriates her and throws her phone away. She trips over a dead body and is shocked, but continues to walk home anyway. Later on Alcide and Sookie have a fight over how she cannot control what she hears in people's mind. She feeling disappointed that even Alcide, although he claims to love and support her, blames her for everything unfurtunate that has happened, the attack by the infected vampires, the kidnapping of Holly and Alrene and the death of Tara. Although, she later apologizes to him and he forgives her and they make love. In the morning, Sookie attends a memorial held at Reverend Daniels' church and tries to comfort Lettie Mae, who is mourning over Tara's death. Lettie Mae, however gets angry and tells Sookie that she is not welcome because she's the reason why Tara died because she keeped on putting herself in danger for her, she begins to hear the minds of everyone in the church who agree with Lettie Mae and, enraged with her, begin to insult her and mentally blame her for everything that has happened, calling her a "vampire whore" and a "stupid whore”, some even think of wanting to kill her for being so shameless. Sookie gets overwhelmed by everyone elses negative thoughts on her and gets up too leave, but before she leaves she tells everyone them that she knows how much everyone despises her and how they blame her for the infected vampires incident but that they are not wrong that it was somehow to blame for that happening. But that say loves this town and the people in it despite there negative views on her or how much they hate her. The episode ends with her offering her help to them. ("Jesus Gonna Be Here")
Sookie meets with Andy, Jason and Sam to discuss what to do next, she keeps hearing negative thoughts from people who keep wondering how she's going to get them out of the trouble she got them into. Sookie tells Andy that she found the body of a girl near her house, she didn't recognize her so she suspects that she's not from Bom Temps but from another town, she goes with Andy, Sam and Jason to investigate the body to find out who it is.
