Mary Wright was Nicole Wright's mother on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by guest starring actress Valarie Pettiford, Mary makes her debut on the episode "In the Evening" in the series' sixth season. Appearing in only two episodes, Mary was last seen in "Dead Meat" in the same season.

Mary picks up her daughter Nicole after Nicole's trying ordeal with the werewolves. ("In the Evening")
"Dead Meat"[]
On their way home Mary and Nicole are captured by Rikki and the rest of Alcide's pack who intend to kill the pair for fear that they will expose the existence of their kind. Alcide fights Rikki to protect them, eventually succeeding in saving them. Alcide brings them to Sam's trailer, where Mary and Nicole are finally able to get some rest. The next day Mary makes arrangements for her and Nicole to take a flight home. Sam, knowing that Nicole is pregnant, asks her not to leave. Nicole doesn't want to leave either. Mary is angered by this, asking how old Sam is. Nicole has a talk with her mother and is allowed to stay with Sam. ("Dead Meat")
