Julie Watney is a vampire on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American actress Kate Eischen, Julie makes her debut on the episode "Let's Get Out of Here" in the series' fourth season. Turned at age of 19 by a vampire named Cody, Julie shows up with her human sister at the Festival of Tolerance, where vampires Bill Compton and Nan Flanagan are attending. Unable to avoid a confrontation, her fate is unknown, and she was last seen on the subsequent episode, "Burning Down the House", in the same season.

Biography[]

Background[]

Julie disappeared at the age of 19 (2003), unknown to her family she was actually turned into a vampire by Cody, who had accidentally drained her while feeding on her. Three years later, once the Great Revelation took place, Julie returned to her mortal home, which was considered as a miracle to her family (at least to her sister Joyce). This event triggered Joyce's pro-vampire activism.

Season 4[]

"Let's Get Out of Here"[]

Julie, along with Joyce, attends the Festival of Tolerance organized by Nan Flanagan and Bill Compton as guest speakers. Joyce begins the festival and then introduces Julie. ("Let's Get Out of Here")

"Burning Down the House"[]

Once the mind-controlled sheriffs start attacking, Julie is seen with Joyce during the chaos. Julie is distracted and unable to prevent Kirsch from attacking Joyce. Julie's fate is unknown as Joyce is seen alone bleeding on the floor with no sign of Julie. ("Burning Down the House")

Powers and Abilities[]

Julie possesses all the common powers and weaknesses of a vampire. She has superhuman strength, speed, healing and senses. Due to her relatively young age, she is far weaker than older vampires such as Bill, Kirsch, Nan and Eric. Her weaknesses include a stake to the heart, silver and fire. Sunlight will slowly kill a vampire of her age.
