John Burke, born in Atlanta, Georgia, is an American actor who plays the role of Jerry McCafferty on the HBO original series True Blood. Playing the role of a newscaster, John operates a news program on the television station TBBN, or, the True Blood Broadcasting Network, and meets an untimely demise during his only appearance, on the episode "Everything Is Broken", in the series' third season.
