James McCauley, born June 22, 1966 in Roswell, New Mexico, is an American actor who plays the role of Paul McClatchy on the HBO original series True Blood. Making his debut on the episode "If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'?" in the series' fourth season, James is a guest starring actor who plays the role of a prospector working at the Rapaho Energy company. Visiting Maxine Fortenberry in order to present her with an offer to buy her natural gas rights, James makes one more appearance, on the episode "Spellbound", in the same season.
