Hiroki was a prominent member of the Yakuza on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American actor Louis Ozawa Changchien, Hiroki made his debut on the episode "Fire in the Hole", in the series' seventh season. A central figure within the Yakuza, Hiroki met an untimely demise on the episode "Lost Cause", in the series' seventh, and final, season.

Biography

Season 7

"Fire in the Hole"

In 1986, Hiroki and the Yakuza pay Eric Northman a visit. They apprehend Pam and Eric's human lover Sylvie and tell Eric that one of them must die, as punishment for Eric's disrespect of the Yakonomo Corporation and the Vampire Authority. Eric offers his life for Pam and Sylvie's, but the Yakuza need him alive; Eric is forced to choose between Pam and Sylvie. Eric reluctantly chooses Pam, and Sylvie is stabbed through the back and dies.

In present day, the Yakuza are sent after Sarah Newlin, due to her involvement in the creation of the Hepatitis V virus. They come to the house of Sarah's new lover and kill him, while Sarah hides in the wine cellar. ("Fire in the Hole")

"Lost Cause"

Hiroki and the Yakuza are still on the hunt for Sarah Newlin. They bust into a Republican party rally, gun down the security guards and start mercilessly slaughtering the attendees. They come across Sarah's father and ask where his daughter is, when he replies that he does not know, they shoot and kill him. They then are able to find Sarah and her mother, and chase them down. They kill Sarah's mother before Eric Northman appears, grabbing Sarah by the throat. Eric sees Hiroki and his two henchmen, and, immediately recognizing them, kills the two Yakuza members and stabs Hiroki in the gut with two swords. As Hiroki dies, Eric grabs him by the face and brutally rips his jaw out. ("Lost Cause")

Personality

As a Yakuza enforcer, Hiroki was a remorseless, brutally efficient killer. He approached his tasks with an air of cold professionalism, but also seemed to take pleasure in forcing others to submit.

Powers and Abilities

Hiroki had all of the normal abilities that any human possesses. That being said, as a member of the Yakuza, Hiroki had access to heavy firearms and weaponry, as well as the vast criminal organization itself.
