Helen Slayton-Hughes, born October 30, 1930, Los Angeles, California, is an American actress who plays the role of Caroline Bellefleur on the HBO original series True Blood. Playing the role of the grandmother of Terry, Andy and Portia Bellefleur, Helen is the oldest living member of the Bellefleur family. Replacing American guest starring actress Katherine Helmond, who played Caroline in the series' fourth season, Helen is a guest starring actress who makes her debut on the episode "Dead Meat", in the series' sixth season. She appears once more, on the subsequent episode, "Life Matters", in the same season.
