Danielle is a werewolf on the HBO original series True Blood. Played by American co-starring actress Jamie Gray Hyder, Danielle makes her debut on the episode "Turn! Turn! Turn!" in the series' fifth season. A werewolf in the pack from Shreveport, Louisiana, Danielle plays a recurring role through through the series' fifth and sixth seasons. She made comments about how much longer Sam Merlotte is going to last under interrogation by the members of her pack, but she herself was last seen in the Season 6 episode "Dead Meat".

"Turn! Turn! Turn!"[]
After the capture of Sam Merlotte by her pack, Danielle was in the barn in which Merlotte was tortured in order to find out where he had placed the body of Marcus Bozeman, their Packmaster. She was just commenting on the resilience of the Shapeshifter with Kenneth, another member of the pack of Shreveport, when Martha Bozeman arrived. When the mother of Marcus asked if the prisoner had spoken, she said "no ma'am".
Later, Alcide Herveaux, warned by Luna Garza, unveiled to the pack in front of the body of Bozeman that it was he who had killed him. Considering Herveaux as the new packmaster, Danielle and Kenneth knelt before Alcide before being violently handed up by J.D., who exclaimed that he will never bow to Alcide Herveaux. ("Turn! Turn! Turn!")
"Authority Always Wins"[]
The pack mourns Marcus by feasting on his corpse. Alcide refuses to take over as pack leader and is allowed to leave. Luna takes Sam home. ("Authority Always Wins")
"In the Beginning"[]
When J.D is telling the pack about his vampire friend (Russell) he tells the pack that a war is brewing between human and vampires and that J.D thinks the pack should join the vampires. But in order to trust the pack J.D tells them that they have to drink Russell's blood. Danielle is at first scared but then gives in, and drinks one of the vials. ("In the Beginning")
"Somebody That I Used to Know"[]
Alcide challenges J.D as pack master. Danielle watches as JD forces Alcide to compete in hunting a human and uses V to gain a physical advantage. Alcide refuses to participate in the hunt and fights JD to ensure the human's escape. JD abjures Alcide. ("Somebody That I Used to Know")
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World"[]
Russell Edgington greets JD and the pack at the barn. Russell bites his own wrist and the wolves flock to him for a drop or two. He notices Martha, who is holding Emma in her puppy form. When Martha says she'll never drink from Russell, he grabs Emma and gives her to his companion Steve Newlin as his first pet. Martha is upset and desperate. JD tells Russell that he can't let him do this. Russel grabs him by the throat and asks him if he thought his blood was free. The vampires leave with Emma. ("Everybody Wants to Rule the World")
"Save Yourself"[]
JD's leadership takes a dark turn; he condones rape and force feeds reluctant pack members V, giving Rikki an overdose. Martha takes Rikki to Alcide for help.
As the pack torture a captured vampire and drain his blood, Alcide, Jackson and Martha confront them. JD tells Alcide that he is abjured but Alcide attacks and beats him to death while the pack looks on. With JD dead, Alcide pronounces himself pack master and lays down the law to his pack. ("Save Yourself")
Season 6[]
"Who Are You, Really?"[]
While the werewolf pack devours J.D.'s corpse, Danielle goes to Alcide and quickly transforms into human form and pledged her allegiance to him. As she walks away Alcide is aroused by her nudity. She then joined the rest of the pack as they go on a pack run.
She catches Alcide alone in the woods and they proceed to make out. Rikki appears and Danielle realizes that she herself has stepped out of place and leaves the Alcide and Rikki to be alone. However, Rikki calls her back and the two women begin kissing. Then Rikki forces Danielle to her knees where Danielle proceeds to give Alcide oral sex. ("Who Are You, Really?")
"The Sun"[]
Danielle accompanied Martha and Alcide at Sam Merlotte's home in order to take Emma into the pack after the death of her mother. But Sam, who Luna had entrusted the care of her daughter, intervened and fought with Alcide who believed that Emma's place was with her grandmother and with those of her species.
When Lafayette tried to intervene, Danielle rushed at him and beat him up in order to put him out of the way. While the three werewolves were taking Emma away, they were unknowingly observed by humans who filmed the fight.("The Sun")
Powers and Abilities[]
Danielle is a Werewolf. She seems to be more powerful than an average Human, but weaker than a packmaster or a Vampire of a moderate age. A testament of her strength is when she was able to tackle Lafayette, a human who is a witch, demon, and is above the average human. In her wolf form her eyes are orange/yellow. Werewolves also appear to have heightened senses while in Human form.
