"Turn! Turn! Turn!"[]
Terry's squadmate Patrick Devins stays with the family. Arlene, Terry, Coby and Lisa are all having breakfast with Patrick. Patrick shows how impressed he is that Terry has his life together, but Terry insists he just wants to keep to a simple life and flip burgers. Arlene also mentions the house fire they had.("Turn! Turn! Turn!")
"Authority Always Wins"[]
Arlene wakes to find Terry standing over their bed. When she tries to wake him, he grabs her arm before snapping out of it. He then crawls back into bed, claiming he is just tired. While cooking, Terry has another flashback and pushes Arlene across the kitchen of Merlottes. He yells at Arlene when she asks what is wrong. He says it was only an accident and storms out of the kitchen. Arlene goes to see Patrick at his motel to ask him what is affecting Terry so badly. He denies any knowledge. Terry follows her there and asks to speak to Patrick alone. Arlene warns that they need to resolve the problem for the sake of their family. ("Authority Always Wins")
"Whatever I Am, You Made Me"[]
Terry finds Arlene in the kitchen at Merlotte's. She attempts to get him to tell her what was going on. Terry only tells her that he needs to go away for a while and doesn't know when he will be back. She says that she will not be waiting for him. Terry leaves, and Arlene runs crying to the bathroom. Arlene continues to have a bad day, arguing with Lafayette about their mutual poor performance. She is shocked when she discovers that Tara Thornton has been turned into a vampire. ("Whatever I Am, You Made Me")
"We’ll Meet Again"[]
Arlene tells Sam that his friends Suzanne and Emory are asking for him in the bar. ("We’ll Meet Again")
"Let's Boot and Rally"[]
Arlene whispers at Andy to answer his phone before it wakes the baby. She walks into the living room to find Andy sleeping naked on the couch. Andy wakes up in a panic and quickly covers himself. The baby suddenly wakes up and an angry Arlene goes to tend to him. Andy answers his phone and is called to a crime scene where Suzanne and Emory have been murdered. ("Let's Boot and Rally")
"Hopeless"[]
Zaafira
Arlene complains about men with Sookie and Holly while working at Merlotte's.
Terry finds Arlene at Merlotte's and tells her everything that happened in Iraq including the curse. She's shocked, but not as shocked as when Terry tells her that he's being hunted by an evil smoke monster and that he has to leave her to save her. Arlene says that she'll help him, because her kids depend on them, but that he needs to get back on his meds. Terry says that if he stays with them, they'll all die. Arlene tells him that he needs to go and Terry thanks her for taking a chance on him before leaving. ("Hopeless")
"In the Beginning"[]
Arlene watches her wedding video at Merlotte's. She enjoys the messages her friends and family recorded for her. She sees Terry kissing her pregnant belly and weeps. Arlene thinks Terry is crazy and that they'll never recapture that point in their relationship. Holly thinks there is a chance that the Ifrit is real and encourages Arlene to have faith in him. ("In the Beginning")
"Somebody That I Used to Know"[]
Lafayette returns home, interested only in a bath and a blunt. He finds Arlene and Holly waiting for him, wanting him to help them with Terry's curse. Lafayette says he'll do it for $300.
Lafayette agrees to attempt to get rid of Terry and Patrick's curse. He goes through the motions at first, but the Iraqi woman makes an appearance. Lafayette tells the soldiers that she is still furious and the only way to break the curse is for one of them to die. Patrick jumps up and runs off. ("Somebody That I Used to Know")
"Everybody Wants to Rule the World"[]
Terry leaves home, apparently to find Patrick and give him a fair fight to the death.
Patrick grabs Arlene and holds her at gunpoint as she arrives at Merlotte's to start her shift. He tells her to call the other employees and tell them that the restaurant is closed that day.
The Ifrit
Terry arrives at Merlotte's, unarmed. He finds Patrick sitting in a booth with a gun at Arlene's head. Terry offers a fair fight, but Patrick thinks Terry is too strong. Just as Patrick is about to shoot Terry, Arlene stabs him in the neck with a hairpin. The two men fight and eventually Patrick gains the upper-hand. Once again Arlene comes to the rescue, grabbing the gun that Patrick had dropped.
Terry turns the gun on Patrick. Patrick pleads that his girl is pregnant and it's going to be a boy, he begs Terry to do the right thing. Terry hesitates, until he has a vision of Zaafira telling him the same thing. He kills Patrick. Zaafira says "blood has been paid with blood." Ifrit, a fire jinn, materializes and takes Patrick's body. ("Everybody Wants to Rule the World")
"Sunset"[]
Arlene and Terry explain to Andy how to make a long term relationship work at Merlotte's. They are interrupted by the arrival of the heavily pregnant Maurella. She tells Andy that he is the father. ("Sunset")
"Save Yourself"[]
Maurella asks Andy for salt. She downs a whole shaker as he tries to explain their affair to Holly. Maurella's light breaks and she goes into labor.
Arlene, Lafayette, and Jane Bodehouse watch as Holly is forced to midwife as Maurella gives birth to 4 baby girls. She quickly leaves, instructing Andy to take care of their children and make sure at least two survive into adulthood. Holly, shocked, calls Andy a dick. ("Save Yourself")
