Annica Bejhed, born October 5, 1971 in Sollentuna Municipality, is a Swedish actress who plays the role of Astrid Northman on the HBO original series True Blood. Playing the role of Eric Northman's mother, Annica appears in one of Eric's flashbacks. The Queen of Öland at some point during the 9th century AD, Annica was married to Ulfrik Northman with whom she had at least two children. She was killed along with her baby daughter by a pack of werewolves under Russell Edgington's command, and Eric vowed to avenge his families' murder. Annica appears only on the episode "Trouble" in the series' third season.
